Murat Altay, a retired non-commissioned officer, is the attorney for the sergeants whose contracts have been terminated.
Altay said, "Even though there is an application made to CIMER, which is the official channel of the state, which has not been reflected anywhere else, although they should have given disciplinary punishment, they are making the termination of the contract," and reminded that the complaint is a constitutional right.
Altay said, "No one can be punished with the termination of the contract. There is an unlawfulness here. In simple terms, contracts are terminated instead of penalizing illegal applications."

Stating that the cancellation of the contracts was not due to rebellion, but due to an irregular application, Attorney Altay emphasized that the sergeants were only seeking their rights and said:
Master sergeants can't claim rights? Master sergeants have to settle for what happened. Despite the cancellation of the contract, we will file a lawsuit in the Administrative Court. We had similar decisions before. They gave disciplinary punishment to a sergeant who applied to CIMER by using his constitutional right. We even had that disciplinary punishment cancelled. Now what makes it different is that there are 56 people.
